Aging in Place: The Villages Movement.
Join your neighbors to learn more about the "Villages" Concept - and how
this movement can involve and serve all of us, from seniors looking to stay
in their home to the needs of young families. Villages
are membership-driven, grass-roots organizations that coordinate access to
affordable services, including transportation, home repair, wellness
programs, and social and educational activities. There are more than 30
villages in the DC area. Come here brief presentations and ask questions of
speakers from WAVE (Washington
Area Villages Exchange) and from villages in our area.
Summer Picnic Sunday,
June 22nd, 3:00 to 6:00 pm is the annual Join us for our annual summer
picnic. Burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks provided. Please
bring a dish to share. See you at the Pavilion at
Boyd Park. Parking lot entrance at the corner of 64th and State
Streets in old Ward 4.
