► Progressive Cheverly's Legislative Forum On Friday, January 22nd at 7:00 pm in the conference room at the Howard Johnson's Hotel, we will host our 11th annual 47th District Legislative Forum with Senator Victor Ramirez and Delegates Diana Fennell and Jimmy Tarlau. This is your chance for up-close conversation with your elected representatives, including a chance to ask questions. ► Progressive Cheverly's Letter to Governor Hogan concerning Syrian refugees Progressive Cheverly is proud to work with thirty-nine other Maryland organizations encouraging Governor Hogan to welcome refugees into our communities. The letter to the Governor can be viewed here.
► Progressive Cheverly's Letter to the Planning Dept Progressive Cheverly submits extensive comments to the Prince George's County Planning Department on the Evaluation and Recommendations Report from Clarion Associates for a complete rewrite of the County's Zoning and Subdivision Regulations. Based on Progressive Cheverly's experience, we focused our comments in three areas: Making the zoning ordinance and regulations more user-friendly and streamlined; Issues with proposed changes to the special exception process; and Revising public notification, access, and participation provisions.
